I'm Not Much Of A Mall Shopper

Today, my husband and I went to Whole Foods and noticed the going out of business sign on the window of the business next door. It was Linens ‘n Things. I guess they are getting a jump start on sales before the holiday season
Follow up:
and before other businesses begin to go out of business this season due to our economic crisis.
I am not much of a shopper and don’t enjoy going to the mall at all. The mall is too crowded and I hate the impulse shopping that can possibly occur while there. Typically, I may land in the mall twice during the holiday season and then possible another 2 times during the year. Mostly, I am a destination shopper. Which means… if I can find what I need by going to a strip centre where I can park and run in...handle my need and then out I go. I am thrilled! I am ecstatic if I can shop on line for my item or direct my daughters to shop for their need on line and keep me from going to the mall all together. My oldest daughter prefers to shop on line now and she and I have made an impact on my youngest as well. I find if my youngest needs something, she will take me or my husband to the mall, find the shop, then see the item first hand. Then she will come home and purchase it on line if she decides she really wants it….we are reducing impulse shopping all together this way. She gets her shopping mall fix by going to the mall with her friend and their mother who really doesn't mind the mall at all. A win/win for us all.
When I have to go to the mall I plan to park in the parking lot near the the entrance I can go to that will minimize my shopping mall time then I am off to the mall. Can you tell, I really don’t enjoy the mall experience?
The holiday season is approaching. Economic times are difficult for some families this year and the holiday may become stressful. Find ways to reduce and spend less. Do gifts that you can make like cookies or an outing together. But try to reduce your impluse shopping. No one should feel stress during the holiday season because of gifts. Your family and friends know you and love you for you and you are their gift! The gift of family and friendship.
