My Friend was early voting today

Today, I called my friend Chanel to talk to her about her daughter and her kindergarten experience.
We had a call earlier this week and I was following up with her about it.
It was very funny that I called her and caught her in line at the early voting location near their home. She shared with me that the lines were long. Crazy during early voting to find long lines! Maybe on election day the lines will be short because all the votes will already be cast. My husband and I are traditionalist and we will go on election day to cast our votes.
Chanel and her husband are voting for the other party. Their daughter enjoyed voting at her school election. How awesome it is that schools take voting seriously and teach children what the process is about. I do think that teachers should keep their party affiliations to themselves.
Chanel and I have had several conversations about politics and we both agree that we accept the others political views as their own.
However, I could not help myself and with one last attempt I asked… “Did you cross party lines?”
A resounding “NO!” and lots of laughter crossed our cell phone lines.
