Dear President-Elect Obama
Dear President-Elect Obama:
I want to congratulate you on your win to the highest office in American. It is a historic moment and all people should pause to recognize it. Your team built a campaign that reached out to modern day Americans. It raised historic amounts of money. It was brilliant. Americans agree with you that it is time to put bitter campaign rhetoric behind us and for all to work together. It is a privilege to experience the peaceful transition of political power from one President to another. Our nation is truly great. Americans can understand and love this gift unconditionally. We fight to protect it. We fight to stay as one. We fight for the rights we cherish. We fight for our brothers and sisters ~ called Americans.
We are a nation of one people united for all…..our electoral process is a cherished system we protect.
Senators and Congressmen need to reach across party lines and work together to be responsible decision makers and create good policies and make informed spending decisions. Democrats now in the majority need to be held responsible and accountable to all Americans and not push to the extreme far left views. To reach moderately and work with both parties is a caution that all leaders should yield to. The path to the future is not about “Change” but is about “Respect, Courage, and Commitment” to our nation’s founding principles and guiding the nation into the future where all Americans are treated equally and without prejudice; at home and on the world stage.
Our leadership must follow that path and recognize that the path will be tested. Don’t fail America now. As our leader you are ultimately responsible for balance of power and the future of America. Please surround yourself with respectable leadership and distance yourself from those too closely tied to radical pasts with destructive direction. Please don’t harm our country with pour leadership choices.
Those that did not vote for you are all watching you and those you surround yourself with. We don’t want you to disappoint us and we give you without question the opportunity to earn our respect and our loyalty; but you will have to earn it. Americans expect that. Earning ones way.
We are the most watched nation in the world and command the respect of world leaders and their citizens. Our powerful position in the world keeps our diplomatic community safe and our military safer during wartime. From personal experience, I know the fear of having my father fight in war and later fight against terrorism in third world counties. He was a military officer. We knew our Commander in Chief had Americas’ best interest on the forefront and we never feared his safety or ours during turbulent times. That torch has been turned over to you and your associations and policies are the foundation of our countries safety at home and abroad. Keep vigilant on safety for all.
No doubt, that as Americans continue forward with their day to day work and toil, we will find ourselves around the dinner table, talking about the politics of the day and issues of individual concern, the stock market tumble and those we love that are without work… yes, around the dinner table we are passionately in debate amongst our friends and families. Without a doubt at some point families will agree that you will appear aged and stressed due to the tireless job that only a President will understand.
We want to thank you for your duty and service to the nation.
Respectfully,
